Co.Lab is a content marketing team that works with some of South Africa’s leading ecommerce, technology and consumer brands. We create content across websites, social media, newsletters, video and other digital platforms.
We’re looking for a curious, creative and enthusiastic videographer intern to join our team and get hands-on experience in the world of content marketing.
What you’ll be doing
Over the course of the internship, you’ll work across multiple brands and accounts, giving you exposure to a wide range of industries, audiences and content formats. You’ll get involved in things like:
- Working with a skilled team to create high-quality footage for our marketing clients.
- A key focus on camera operation but also creating story lines and editing.
- AI video creation skills – and a willingness to explore this ever-evolving technology – are a plus.
- Working in studio and on location both in Cape Town and further afield. Some travel may be required.
- Working with a wide variety of subject matter and for a wide variety of final outputs, including food content, medical, financial, logistics, tourism, etc.
- Working with varying teams and clients within the Media24 ecosystem, as well as with clients outside of the organisation.
- Working within our digital workflow systems to ensure continuity and efficiency at all times.
What you’ll learn
This is an opportunity to see how content marketing really works, from the initial idea through to publishing.
You’ll gain experience in:
- Creating video content for leading ecommerce and tech brands
- Working across multiple clients, industries and audiences
- Working with client briefs and feedback
- Content production across written, social and video formats
- Using AI and emerging tools in the content industry
- Collaborating with experienced editors, writers, strategists and creatives
Most importantly, you’ll get a lot of exposure, quickly. You’ll work across different accounts and see how content is adapted to different brands, audiences and business objectives.
We’d love it if you’re…
- Curious, creative and eager to learn
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Interested in technology, ecommerce, media and digital culture
- Comfortable asking questions and taking feedback
- Excited by the idea of working across different brands and industries
- Someone who brings energy, ideas and a willingness to get stuck in
