Stefanutti Stocks Inland is seeking a Site Clerk to provide administrative support on a large-scale earthworks and civils project. The role will maintain accurate site records, process timesheets and attendance, support HR and payroll, and assist with reporting and document control.

Payroll Administration
- Maintain up-to date employee wage files, contracts and records.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly wages run for approval and payment
- Accurately capture wages for all site employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, labour laws and site agreements.
- Collect, verify and process daily timesheets, attendance records and overtime claims from site supervisors.
Timekeeping & Labour Cost Control
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly manpower registers.
- Assist supervisors in monitoring absenteeism, leave balances and working hours.
- Support cost tracking and reporting on labour productivity and allocation to project cost codes.
Compliance & reporting
- Ensure adherence to company and client payroll procedures.
- Prepare payroll summaries, cost reports and related documentation for management.
- Liaise with HR and accounts department to resolve discrepancies or queries.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee wages and personal information.
Administrative Support
- Assist in onboarding new site personnel by capturing personal details and ensuring documentation is complete.
- Support HR in maintaining compliance with statutory and project-specific labour requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the project office as required.

Qualifications:
- Grade 12: National Senior Certificate (Essential)
- Diploma/Certificate in Administration, Accounting or related field
Skills:
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical capability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Understanding of basic HR and labour legislation
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a wage clerk in the construction, mining or civil engineering sector
Experience with bulk earthworks or large infrastructure projects - preferred
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
