We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer / Consultant to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that turn complex data into meaningful insights. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver intuitive dashboards and reports.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Gather and translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
- Build and optimise data models using Power BI and Power Query.
- Develop DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs.
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL databases, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and modelling.
- Ensure dashboards are accurate, scalable, and user-friendly.
- Optimise Power BI reports and datasets for performance.
- Implement row-level security and appropriate data access controls.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Developers, and business stakeholders.
- Support deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions.
- Provide documentation and user support where required.
Your Expertise:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query / M.
- Experience with data modelling and dimensional modelling concepts.
- Good SQL skills.
- Experience working with relational databases and multiple data sources.
- Understanding of ETL / data transformation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience with Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways, publishing, and scheduled refreshes.
Advantageous
- Microsoft Power BI / Fabric certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Databricks.
- Experience working within Agile environments.
- Exposure to data warehousing and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Experience with SSRS, SSIS, or other Microsoft BI technologies.
