Manager: New Vehicle Sales (Trucks) | Motus Hino Trucks Parow (Western Cape)

Motus Hino Trucks Parow is looking for an experienced and driven Manager: New Vehicle Sales (Commercial Truck Sales Manager) to lead our sales team and help grow our market share across the Western Cape. We are looking for a hands-on sales leader who enjoys developing people, driving performance and building long-term customer relationships. Previous commercial vehicle experience is not essential, as full product and industry training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of commercial vehicle sales executives
• Drive daily sales activity, prospecting, customer visits and pipeline management
• Ensure sales executives achieve their activity, volume and profitability targets
• Coach and support the team throughout the sales process and assist in closing key deals
• Develop and maintain relationships with fleet owners, transport operators and key decision-makers
• Manage vehicle stock, order books and sales forecasts
• Work closely with the Dealer Principal to develop sales strategies and growth initiatives
• Monitor e-Toyota usage, reporting, customer follow-up and overall sales discipline
• Ensure exceptional customer service and customer retention
• Recruit, train and develop sales staff where required

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification
• Valid Code B driver’s licence
• Proven experience as a sales manager or in a senior sales leadership position
• A strong track record of leading a sales team and achieving volume and profitability targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to analyse performance and implement corrective action when required
• Self-motivated, highly organised and target-driven
• Willingness and ability to learn the commercial vehicle industry and Hino product range

Advantageous, but Not Essential

• Previous commercial truck, fleet or transport-related sales experience
• Experience within a truck or motor dealership environment
• Code 14 driver’s licence
• Financial or F&I experience or exposure
• An existing network within the transport, logistics, construction, waste, FMCG or fleet sectors

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is a strong sales leader who leads from the front. Someone who is equally comfortable coaching a salesperson, meeting with a customer, negotiating a deal, reviewing a pipeline or presenting a strategy to senior management.

Commercial truck experience would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. We are more interested in finding an experienced sales manager with the right leadership ability, work ethic and drive to succeed. The successful candidate will receive the necessary product and industry training on the job.
