DescriptionSSK is seeking an experienced, proactive, and dynamic Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, structural integrity, and overall upkeep of our property portfolio and facilities. In this role, you will lead the internal maintenance team, manage contractor and vendor relationships, enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, and ensure optimal operational standards across all infrastructure and property assets.
Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and execute daily maintenance activities across all properties, buildings, and facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep issues early.
- Source, evaluate, and register third-party service providers and contractors alongside the Manager of Property and Projects to ensure SLA compliance, quality control, and cost efficiency.
- Direct daily work schedules and lead internal maintenance staff to maximize team productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare maintenance budgets, monitor repair expenses, and manage inventory and tool allocations efficiently.
- Implement capital maintenance projects in collaboration with the Manager of Properties and Projects.
- Ensure all property maintenance tasks comply with OHS standards, local building codes, and municipal regulations.
Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification, N3–N6 Certificate, Trade Test Certification (e.g., Electrician, Plumber, Fitter), or a qualification in Facilities Management, Construction, Building/Engineering Management, Property Management, or Project Management.
- 3–5+ years of proven experience managing multi-property portfolios, contractors, maintenance budgets, CAPEX projects, and compliance programs (or equivalent facilities management and supervisory experience).
- Strong operational knowledge of electrical, plumbing, civil, carpentry, and structural building systems, combined with preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.
- Valid Code EB driver's license.
- Proficiency in MS Office and standard management software.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel away from home for extended periods based on operational or project demands.
