Stefanutti Stocks Inland is seeking a Lining QA/QC Technician to ensure lining works comply with project specifications, industry standards and quality requirements. The role involves inspections, testing, quality documentation and ensuring non-conformities are identified and resolved promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections of surface preparation and lining application activities.
- Verify material certifications, environmental conditions and surface profiles prior to application.
- Monitor lining thickness, deployment and seaming using appropriate inspection tools.
- Identify, record and follow up on non-conformances and defects through to resolution.
- Complete and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, checklists and test records.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, procedures and applicable SANS and ASTM standards.
- Liaise with project engineers, site supervisors and client representatives regarding quality requirements.
- Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all safety, health and environmental requirements are adhered to during inspections and testing.

Qualifications:
Grade 12: National Senior Certificate
Skills:
- Strong Knowledge of lining systems and surface preparation methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment, incl. tensiometers, spark testers, vacuum boxes and pressure gauge
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards incl. SANS 10409 & applicable ASTM standards
- Excellent attention to detail and observation skills
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in QA/QC roles withing lining, coating or protective systems in industrial marine, mining or oil & gas sectors
- Knowledge of HSE requirements related to coating and lining works
