The role provides financial advice and support to non-financial managers within Supply Chain scope. Act as strategic advisors that provide wide support regarding all aspects of the business. Works closely with management to help them make informed decisions about finances relating to their business activities.
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
- Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar role
Advantage:
- Certifications in Accounting and Financial
- Experience in financial analysis and management or within Supply Chain. Experience with complex GL/reporting systems

Financial Business Advisory
- Provide financial advice to senior management to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Support the Head of Operations in challenging and improving financial performance.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
- Work cross-functionally to streamline operations and strengthen financial decision-making.
Financial Insights and Analysis
- Analyze and interpret data to help Supply Chain allocate resources efficiently.
- Conduct trend and variances analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Provide actionable insights to help Supply Chain achieve goals.
- Provide forward-looking insights through budgets, forecasts, and projections with clear business impact.
Review Financial Statement
- Ensure inputs into financial statements are accurate, compliant and relatable to operations
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to management.
- Drive governance, audit readiness, and process improvement initiatives.
Financial Modelling
- Build complex financial models to simulate different scenarios and predict financial trends. Use of these models to forecast expenses, and cash flow.
- Validate and improve the quality and accuracy of the management data being produced.
- Assist in the production of the annual budgets and forecasts using established tools like ZBB.
- Continuously enhance financial processes, models, and systems
General:
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
