Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a standalone division of Deloitte, owned by Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands, based in South Africa. Our goal is to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe; by recruiting and developing Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa in order to service the diverse needs and to enable projects at our clients. • Support clients in aligning their accounting & reporting to their (strategic) goals and ambitions, whilst ensuring compliance and audit readiness to strengthen client relationships and advance your career. At Deloitte.

• Draft position papers on complex accounting & reporting issues (restructurings, M&A transactions, impairments/CGU structures etc.) (IFRS/NL GAAP) faced by clients and ensure audit readiness thereof.
• Support clients in drafting accounting manuals that ensure consistent, understandable/practical and high-quality application of accounting throughout the organization/group
• Assist clients with financial and/or group reporting (incl. potential GAAP conversions), audit preparation, and drafting annual accounts.
• Act as a key, specialist team member on audit engagements to support them on complex accounting topics with your expert accounting knowledge.

For the (Senior) Consultant Accounting & Reporting Assurance position, the following qualifications are required:

• A completed (Post) Master’s degree in Accountancy, Controlling, Finance, or Economics, with eligibility to qualify as CA (SA)/CPA, or nearing completion of RA or ACCA education.
• At least 3 years of experience in Audit or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with NL GAAP and US GAAP is advantageous.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.

As a (Senior) Consultant in Accounting & Reporting Assurance, you enjoy supporting clients in analyzing and determining the accounting consequences and impacts of complex transactions and events. You combine technical accounting knowledge and (ex) auditor’s capabilities to think outside of the box when crafting accounting solutions to accommodate a client’s (strategic goals), whilst ensuring GAAP compliance and audit readiness. Additionally, you support audit teams with your expert knowledge, ensuring complex accounting topics are audited and documented well, ensuring top notch audit quality is delivered.
